Had a great experience here. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Want to give great appreciation for front desk manager Dwayne Miller. He went above and beyond to accommodate us after we had a mixup with our reservation. He deserves great praise! Thank you Dwayne

Passing through and needed a place to spend the night. Reviews I read were pretty good as well as guests ratings. We weren't disappointed. King room, bed was comfortable and room/bathroom was clean. 1st floor room and didn't hear any road noise or noise from guests above us. Don't know if there were any to be honest. Anyone we spoke to was courteous and kind. I asked about places to eat and they gave us a couple choices but didn't sound too confident in them. We found our own place to eat. Breakfast the next morning was OK, nothing lavish but filling. I found burritos, omelets and sausage in the fridge after we'd eaten. Wish the fridge had listed the items inside. We would stay again if in the area. But check the fridge before you eat to check out the other options!

Perfect place. I have stayed here five times in the last two months and everyone has been incredible. Clean rooms, great location and incredible service.

The AmericInn in Spirit Lake is awesome, the staff is very helpful and welcoming. The pool and breakfast are both great pluses for a family trip.

Ok, I would recommend this place to stay. We have always rented an Airbnb in Okoboji; However, this time, we decided to go at the last minute and weren’t able to rent a condo. I was (needlessly) nervous about the hotel scene in Okoboji. Justina, the front desk girl, was above and beyond exceptional and so friendly. She was fun to talk to. My sister and I couldn’t believe how nice she was and how knowledgeable she was about the town. The room was clean. The breakfast was really good. The location was awesome. The staff was exceptional. The price was reasonable. FYI The vending machine near the front desk has a sign that read ‘cash only’; however, that is not correct. The sign was placed there to inform us THIS IS WHERE YOU INSERT CASH. They should change the sign, in my opinion.

The staff is great. The hotel is a bit dated and could use a refresh but it is not bad. I stay here every couple months and will continue to do so. No elevator sucks for extended stays with extra luggage but it's still a good place to stay. I also wish they would have the food truck driver that stays here frequently park a bit further away as his reefer gets obnoxious sometimes. But it is overall quiet and a great place to stay.

The location of the hotel is perfect, off the main highway, close to a lot of things, you can't get lost. The cleaning staff was very nice & helpful. The pool & hot tub area were very clean. The fire pits out front were relaxing, especially with the nice weather we had. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because my friends were on the second floor & there isn't an elevator.

We had a bad experience at a Wyndham down the road ( extremely dirty, fleas and the air/heater filters were so filthy) we didn’t even make it to put out belongings in the room before I had to say no. I was so happy that AmericInn Wyndham here in Okoboji has 1 room left for my family. When we arrived around 7/8pm, The gentleman at check in was so nice and accommodating. I think I probably said thank you several times. The rooms were clean, beds clean and crisp. Wonderful hot tub!! and pool. All the staff we encountered the 3 days we were there were super nice, had a friendly face on them at all times! Thank you for the stay!
